"I like working at CycleRecycle because there is always something to do"

Case study

"I started my career at CycleRecycle in January 2020. I am a keen cyclist but had never worked in a bicycle shop before.

I applied online for the position and was invited to a telephone interview, followed by two face-to-face interviews. I was offered the job in late December 2019

I applied for a job at CycleRecycle because I have a passion for cycling and I have always had an interest in bikes, working in an area in which I have enthusiasm in makes every day interesting.

Working at CycleRecycle is rewarding because I enjoy giving new life to bikes that can be restored. I love repairing customers’ bikes for them as many of our customers rely on their bikes every day. "

"I have been given all the support I need to grow into the role."

During my career at CycleRecycle, I have been given all the support I need to grow into the role.

In September 2020 I is was promoted to trainee manager, and in the following January I was promoted to Branch Manager.

I enjoy working at CycleRecycle because there is always something to do, such as upcycling a bike and I find that type of work very rewarding.

I also enjoy speaking and assisting our customers and, helping them with their cycling needs.

Plus, I have met some really nice people, who I always enjoy speaking to in the shop when they come in."
